Gift Card Terms

These terms apply to gift cards and gift certificates issued by Vintage Wine Cellars, LLC. Purchased gift-card value is separate from promotional rewards and loyalty points, which are governed by the Rewards Program Terms or the specific promotional offer.

1. Purchasing and Giving a Gift Card

Online gift-card purchases require an account. Before placing an order, check the amount, recipient address, delivery date, and gift message. You are responsible for providing accurate recipient details and for having an appropriate basis to provide another person's contact information.

Gift cards may be purchased as gifts. Giving a card does not bypass age verification or other requirements for buying alcohol. We may review or decline a purchase for suspected fraud or payment problems.

2. Digital Delivery

Digital gift cards are sent to the recipient address supplied at purchase, immediately or on the selected delivery date as described in your order. Payment review, email-provider delays, filtering, or an incorrect address can affect delivery. Please check spam or junk folders and contact us if a delivery has not arrived.

A sent gift-card email cannot be recalled. Contact us promptly about an incorrect address or delivery problem. We may be able to assist after verifying the purchase and the card's status, but cannot guarantee recovery of value already redeemed by an unintended recipient.

An email access link may expire for security reasons. Expiration of that link does not expire the gift-card balance. Account access may require registration or sign-in using the recipient email address. Contact us if you need help accessing a valid card.

3. Redemption

Gift cards are redeemable for eligible Vintage Wine Cellars purchases through the channels identified when sold. Present the valid code, barcode, or other accepted proof of the card. If the purchase exceeds the available balance, pay the remainder using another accepted payment method.

Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. They are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. Alcohol purchases require an eligible adult and remain subject to destination, delivery, and other legal restrictions.

Purchase and recipient accounts may provide different views of a gift card. Account access is subject to verification and does not authorize the purchaser to take back value already lawfully given or redeemed.

4. No Expiration or Inactivity Fees

Purchased gift-card balances do not expire. We do not impose dormancy, maintenance, inactivity, or other postsale fees on those balances. Unused value remains available for future eligible purchases.

A free promotional credit may have separate, clearly disclosed terms where permitted by law. We will not treat purchased gift-card value as an expiring promotional reward merely because it is stored in an account.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Gift-card purchases are final except where required by law or where we agree to cancel an undelivered, unredeemed card after verification. Contact us promptly if you need assistance. We may decline a voluntary refund after a card has been issued or sent.

When merchandise purchased with a gift card is refunded, the gift-card portion generally returns as equivalent gift-card value, subject to applicable law. A delivery or code malfunction does not eliminate legitimate purchased value.

6. Security, Loss, and Fraud

Protect gift-card codes and access links as you would cash. Do not post or share them publicly. Contact us immediately about loss, theft, or unauthorized use. We may require proof of purchase, identity, and available balance before replacing or restricting a card.

We are not responsible for unauthorized redemption caused by disclosure or loss outside our control, to the extent permitted by law. This does not excuse our own misconduct or a remedy the law requires. We may temporarily suspend a card during a reasonable fraud investigation. Legitimate purchased value is not forfeited solely because an account is closed or inactive.

7. Gift Information and Assistance

We may provide the purchaser with delivery, opening, or redemption-status information to administer the gift. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle purchaser and recipient information.
