For more than 19 generations, the Cordero di Montezemolo family has been rooted in the heart of Barolo country, stewarding the historic Monfalletto estate in La Morra since 1340. Today, Giovanni Cordero di Montezemolo and his children, Elena and Alberto, continue the family tradition, cultivating vineyards that have been carefully matched to the region’s diverse soils, elevations, and exposures for centuries. The estate’s holdings have expanded over time to include prized parcels such as old vines in the renowned Villero cru of Castiglione Falletto, the source of their acclaimed Barolo Enrico VI. Together with additional vineyards in Barolo, Alba, and Roero, the family now farms 51 hectares (126 acres), producing wines that reflect the rich heritage and distinctive terroirs of Piedmont.
