Louise Vineyard, established in 1993 and named after Winegrower and Owner Tom Gerrie’s great-grandmother, is a cornerstone of the Cristom estate. Situated on the lowest slopes of the estate in the Eola-Amity Hills, the vineyard showcases a diverse soil profile, combining volcanic soils, Marine Sedimentary influences, and Missoula Flood silts. This unique geological composition enhances the intensity and complexity of the fruit.
Protected by a forest to the west and south, Louise Vineyard is shielded from the cold Pacific Ocean winds, resulting in wines with softened acidity and balanced character. Spanning 12.3 acres, the vineyard is dedicated to Pinot Noir, with vines that are now the estate's oldest, aged 27–31 years. These mature vines contribute a remarkable richness to the wines, reflecting both the heritage and exceptional terroir of the vineyard.
Sultry aromas of dense Asian spice, Rainier cherries, hoisin sauce, and nutmeg. Unctuous and expansive on the palate with supple tannins and flavors of crunchy plum, baking spice, dark chocolate, and herbal nuances.
