Darioush Signature Viognier (2024)

Darioush, a winery noted for its Bordeaux style estate wines, implements old world labor-intensive, micro-vineyard management and new world state of the art technology to craft fine wines from its estates located in the appellations of Napa Valley, Mt. Veeder and Oak Knoll. While Darioush is primarily rooted in Napa Valley they source fruit from Sonoma County.

Fragrant, alluring, and exotic, Darioush Signature Viognier captures the essence of its cool-climate origins in Oak Knoll (Napa Valley) and Los Carneros (Sonoma) where fog-laden mornings and cool, afternoon breezes coax the varietal’s inherently effusive aromas and flavors.

The 2024 Viognier is vibrant and gracefully layered. A mild, steady season allowed the fruit to ripen evenly, developing purity and poise. Fragrant notes of white peach, apricot, and orange blossom lift from the glass, followed by a palate of nectarine, lychee, and tangerine peel. A bright, balanced acidity lends clarity and length, finishing with a delicate hint of citrus zest and coastal minerality.
