Les Combes is located on the edge of Saint-Aubin which borders Chassagne-Montrachet. The vineyard sits in a valley, just below the Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru vineyard Les Chenevottes. Soils are limestone and calcareous clay with a high clay content.
