R. López de Heredia stands as one of Rioja’s oldest and most steadfastly traditional wineries, founded in 1877 by Don Rafael López de Heredia y Landeta, who was inspired by French négociants visiting Haro during the phylloxera crisis and recognized the region’s exceptional potential for fine wine. From the beginning, the family committed to long aging, estate‑grown fruit, and meticulous craftsmanship—principles that still define the bodega today. They continue to work in their historic Haro cellars, aging wines for years or even decades in large American oak barrels and releasing them only when fully mature, a practice that sets them apart in modern Rioja. Now led by the fourth generation, López de Heredia remains a benchmark for classic Rioja, producing iconic wines such as Viña Tondonia, Viña Bosconia, Viña Cubillo, and Viña Gravonia, all rooted in the same philosophy that has guided the estate for nearly 150 years.

Vina Bosconia Reserva has evolved perfectly showing a deep ruby color with shades of orange. Its nose is persistent, full bodied and showing a lot of mature fruit, being dominated by the Tempranillo grape. Its taste is round, smooth, fresh, full of body and persistent.
