Tenuta Garetto Favà Nizza DOCG (2020)

Tenuta Garetto was acquired by the Gagliardo Family in 2017. It is a very well-known and recognized spot for Barbera. It is located in Agliano Terme, in the heart of the new Nizza DOCG appellation. The estate has old vines planted between 1935 and 1950, as well as more recent vineyards.

For the Favà, the best bunches of the estate are moved to the contiguous cellar to be crushed within a few hours from being harvested. After fermentation, Favà is aged in concrete and wood casks, and remains a few months in the bottle before being released.

Intense ruby red color, fruity aromas of berries, plums and bread crust. Intense, balanced, pleasantly acidic, persistent.
Pair with rich first courses, red meat, wild game, spicy cheeses.
